Course Title: IELTS Preparation 1
Course Description: The IELTS Preparation 1 course is specifically designed for students who have attained a TOEFL test score between 450 and 500 or have an equivalent IELTS score of approximately 4.5. The primary objective of this course is to equip students with the necessary skills and strategies to achieve a band score of 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination.
Throughout this comprehensive course, students will engage in a variety of activities and exercises tailored to enhance their proficiency in all four components of the IELTS test: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Emphasis will be placed on developing essential language skills, test-taking strategies, and time-management techniques.
Key Course Features:
Building Listening Skills: Students will improve their listening comprehension skills through extensive practice with a range of audio materials, including conversations, lectures, and interviews. Students will learn effective note-taking techniques, develop their ability to identify key information, and enhance their overall understanding of spoken English.
Enhancing Reading Abilities: The course will focus on strengthening students' reading comprehension skills by exposing them to a variety of authentic reading passages. Through guided exercises and discussions, students will learn effective reading strategies, such as skimming, scanning, and identifying main ideas, supporting details, and inferred meanings.
Developing Writing Proficiency: Students will develop their writing skills by practicing various types of writing tasks commonly found in the IELTS exam. ACADEMIC ENGLISH
Course Title: Academic English
Course Description: The Academic English course is specifically designed for students who have attained a TOEFL test score between 401 and 450. This course aims to enhance students' competencies in academic English, enabling them to effectively engage in academic settings and meet the language demands of higher education.
Throughout this comprehensive course, students will focus on developing the essential language skills required for academic success. Emphasis will be placed on improving reading comprehension, writing proficiency, listening comprehension, and speaking skills in an academic context. Students will also develop critical thinking and analytical skills necessary for academic tasks and assignments.
Key Course Features:
Reading and Vocabulary Development: Students will engage with a variety of academic texts, including articles, research papers, and scholarly materials. Students will enhance their reading comprehension skills, expand their academic vocabulary, and learn effective strategies for understanding and extracting information from complex texts.
Writing Skills and Academic Style: The course will guide students through the process of academic writing, including essay composition, research paper development, and formal writing conventions. Students will learn to effectively structure their writing, develop cohesive arguments, and refine their grammar and vocabulary usage to meet the standards of academic writing.
